We are pleased to present FROM THE LAND, a new exhibition developed through our partnership with the Architectural Association, based at Bedford Square, London, and Hooke Park, Dorset.
Bringing together works that examine the relationship between architecture and the living world, the exhibition approaches architecture as a moment within a broader material flow: one that begins in the landscapes where resources are sourced, passes through the built environment, and ultimately returns to the land.
The projects gathered here aim to recalibrate architecture’s relationship with land, matter and climate. Together, they imagine futures in which architecture actively supports the diversity of species, landscapes and communities, attending to the ecological, social and political systems that sustain life rather than serving only the logics of extraction and development.
Representing emerging approaches to material and land use within one of the world’s most resource-intensive industries, these experimental works offer a glimpse of where a new generation is taking the profession. Co-curated with architect, designer and educator Inigo Minns.
